Sarah Cox, founder of Artouflage: Where stories are translated into art.

Welcome to the world of Artouflage, the creative identity of Sarah,

a Belgian artist based in Maastricht. From her studio, she brings stories,

emotions, and ideas to life through painting and photography, blending

cultural richness with creative sensitivity and a signature sense of humor.

With a background in fine arts from the Academy of Arts in Hasselt and

years of experience gained through workshops and collaborations, Sarah

has developed a distinct and expressive style. She works primarily on

commission, creating tailor-made artworks for individuals, families, and

companies. Her creative process is highly collaborative, each piece is

built around the client’s story, vision, and personality.

But now, for Artokgallery, Sarah is sharing some personal work.

This exhibition presents a selection of her own work, artistic

explorations created outside the boundaries of commissioned projects.

These pieces offer a glimpse into her independent creative journey,

where emotion, observation, and imagination collide.

While the themes may vary, one element remains constant: humor is always part of the

paintings. Sometimes bold and quirky, sometimes subtle and dry, her

humorous touch adds levity, challenges perception, and invites a second look.
